Policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Etuosity handles personal information for the public website, project communication, collaboration, research preparation, pilots, and supporter outreach. Etuosity uses a minimization approach: collect what is needed, explain why it is needed, limit access, and review practices as the project develops.
Information We Collect
- Contact details you provide, such as name, email address, organization, and role.
- Messages, collaboration interests, pilot inquiries, funding questions, and other information you choose to send.
- Operational website data such as device, browser, log, security, and aggregate usage information.
- Pilot or research-related information only when it is collected under a defined pilot, consent, school, family, or partner process.
How We Use Information
- Respond to your inquiries and collaboration requests.
- Share project updates, pilot opportunities, and relevant announcements.
- Improve project materials, examples, tools, and communication quality.
- Operate, secure, debug, measure, and improve the website.
- Meet legal, security, and compliance obligations.
Legal Basis and Regional Coverage
Where a legal basis is required, Etuosity relies on consent, contract steps, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or other bases recognized by applicable law. This policy is designed to support privacy obligations and rights in the United States, the European Union, Singapore, Taiwan, and the Philippines.
- United States: We honor applicable U.S. privacy and child privacy requirements, including notice, choice, parental consent where required, and state privacy rights where they apply.
- European Union: We support GDPR rights and principles including transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, lawful basis, security, and rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and portability.
- Singapore: We handle personal data in line with PDPA concepts including consent, reasonable purposes, notification, access, correction, protection, retention limits, and transfer safeguards.
- Taiwan: We support Personal Data Protection Act expectations for stated purposes, appropriate collection, use, security, correction, cessation, and deletion rights.
- Philippines: We support Data Privacy Act principles including transparency, legitimate purpose, proportionality, security, and data subject rights.
Sharing and Processors
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, professional advisors, pilot or research partners, schools, family-authorized participants, or authorities when needed for the purposes described in this policy and when legally permitted. Service providers are expected to use personal information only for authorized services.
International Transfers
Because Etuosity may communicate with collaborators in multiple countries, personal information may be processed outside your location. When transfer rules apply, we use appropriate contractual, consent-based, organizational, or legal safeguards.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, tax, dispute, research integrity, or recordkeeping reasons. Pilot data should be governed by the pilot plan, consent materials, and retention schedule for that activity.
Children and Family Participation
Etuosity is designed with family and child learning contexts in mind. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children where parental consent is legally required, and child-involved pilots require age-appropriate safeguards. See our Child Safety Policy for more details.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or opt-out from certain processing. See our Data Rights page for the request process.
